VR Theatrical is a South African based theatre specialist who believes that theatre can have a significant impact on individuals, on communities and the world.

VRT is a full service production house that offers operational and strategic support to our creative endeavours.
We also extend our specialised theatrical services and expertise to our partners and offer assistance with regards to casting, production accounting and budgeting, touring infrastructure around South Africa and production and general mangement of productions.
Broadway or Local?
We divide our creative work between presenting tried and tested international theatre brands, such as the South African premieres of AVENUE Q, HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH and ROCK OF AGES, in addition to commissioning new, local writing, such as THE DEAD TINDER SOCIETY, TINY THE TOKOLOSHE AND OTHER AFRICAN TALES and Paul Slabolepszy's SUDDENLY THE STORM.
We see ourselves as part of a bigger international community of theatre makers with our roots planted in African soil.
While we love to collaborate, we are fortunate enough to have an amazing
inhouse Music Department that takes care of all our (showtune) needs, from music direction and arranging, to creating pit parts for players, recording cast albums and all things musical.
Our Graphic Design Department is used to creating wordmarks and campaign identities months ahead of productions starting rehearsals, enabling us to roll out strategic marketing before a production has been born.
